Have been going to this airshow since 1981. A great show in the old days of multiple aircraft types stationed together. Still a must see airshow. Try to arrange an extra day or so to visit some of the great museums in the area. Up in Hampton, about 40 minutes away there is a good outdoor/indoor static display on Mercury Blvd. Just down the road is the Virginia Air Museum and Langley AFB. Visit Norfolk NAS and take the tour, .... great to see some carriers up close and personal... you will also see an F-8 on display. Don't forget all the gate guardians at NAS Oceana. Lots to do and see down there. |
