I have mine ( at least the ones still in their boxes ) stored in the garage for years and most are in those Rubbermaid plastic bins and some are packed away in large heavy cardboard boxes.The climate I live in is very similar to JPs environment (extreme warm and cold temperatures). I look/inspect them over every once in awhile, and haven't noticed anything or have any problems that has been mentioned so far.
