| Diecast regret(s) ????? (Maybe we've discussed this before - but I'm not sure.)
What are your diecast regrets?
1) What model(s) did you wish you would have picked up when they were released, but never got around to picking up; and now they are nowhere to be found?
2) Anyone have that situation...then after obsessing over the model, paid WAY over list to eventually acquire it? If so, what model(s) and how high did you go?
Or this situation...
3) Never got around to picking up that model - model then became scare - you thought you would NEVER find it - only to later pick it up for a screaming deal? If so, what model(s)? My answers -
1) Flying Mule FW 190. I think that was out just as I started to get into this hobby. I was really clueless on rarity and "models being sold out - never to return" was not even in my thinking at that stage.
2) After my daughter accidently totaled my Corgi 1:72 P-51 "Bunnie" - I sold off some of my collection and ordered TWO - one from Jubilies in Britian (about $49 U.S. shipped); AND in my obsession/paranoia, a second from Perry aircraft "on sale" for $67 shipped.
3) My first Corgi 1:72 P-51 "Bunnie" - after looking for months, I found it on Ebay and won the auction - for around $24 shipped. (Seller described the model as missing a couple parts - the wheel covers were actualy on the model and the box photo looked like they were missing.) |
