The whole "loops" thing was obviously nonsense. Indeed, a tremendous tragedy. Looks like the two aircraft were mirroring each other, and Leroy miscalculated his sink rate during the snap rolls (as part of the "Mary's Lamb" maneuver?). The images serve as a powerful reminder of the risks these guys take at every show. |
