According to Dragon Models USA "this type of crane was used to lift up the superstructure roof in order to gain access to the fighting compartment for maintenance." A Jagdtiger with an open roof and visible interior would make a great diorama, but just putting the cranes (as good as they look) on two older ("face-lifted" they call it) models... well, not for me. |
