Besides being a handy reference guide to the various variants and airframes, these books are exceptionaly loaded with detailed color plates of the various schemes, squadrons, foreign nation operators, technical data drawings etc, and then some. These books are highly recommend for all you military aviation enthusiasts and buffs alike. Your library shouldn't be without these books, imo.
