| Re: Strawberry bitch haunted??? Ever been to Normandy? I have…I went there in June 1994. I f you don’t believe in ghost then you need to go to Normandy,,, they are there..I have an account of what happened when a friend and I took leave to go to the 50 anniversary of D-day…. We decided to take a nice walk on Omaha beach at Normandy after we ate dinner it was around 7pm June 4 1994. We heard German voices shouting out orders and machinegun fire, we both fell in the sand and as I was getting up I stuck my hand into the sand a grabbed a hand full of spent rounds. we where not the only group who had heard the German machine guns and hit the deck….some one then called the authorities to investigate. They came out and went in to the general direction we herd the machine gun fire come from. By that time our little group had turned in to a small crowed…we still heard machinegun fire and German solders shouting out orders, but this time it seemed the where at a different distance….. After a awhile a few of the veterans of the Omaha beach assault came down near the beach, and they also heard something, they also pointed out the German machinegun positions, when the French authorities came back and informed us they found nothing but they did tell us that the sprits of the dead are walking the earth. and said they where playing tricks on us. Latter the next day the people that live in and around Normandy told us they hear and see strange things coming from the beaches, and it not unusual to see ghost of allied and German solders walking the beaches. At the point where they consolidated the wounded and dying people have heard moans and crying. Most of the local stay away from the beaches, many say they feel like they are being watched, and also have had similar experience with the German mach gun fire. The town of Normandy is another story. Many have claimed that they have seen us solders wearing the uniform of allied invasion walking down the streets in broad daylight. |
