| I plan on buying the early-release grey A-10 (I already plan to fix the tail) and was wondering how are the weapons attached? While Hobby Master has nice molds, their weapons seem sub-standard IMHO. And like too many manufacturers, they still paint 1990's+ weapons in 1970's "all white". I'd like to get rid of a lot of the weapons, and leave the pylons empty, and maybe replace a few weapons with some spare ones from Dragon etc. Are the weapons heavily glued on like some companies, or just barely hanging on like others? And do they use pins+holes, or "long slots and tabs"? (The former usually looks better when you take them off)
Same questions for how the pylons are attached to the wing----if I remove them, will there be big spots of glue residue and paint issues, or just 2 tiny little spots where the pins attached? |
I just pulled weapons off from mine, rearranged and reattached them. Didn't leave any obvious glue mark. doesnt use pin spots to attach. just the slot.
