| Very nice, Pulqui! Do you have any of the information on this specific plane? Squadron? Where and when it was supposed to be flying? Etc.? |
It is in the colors of the Royal Air Force (RAF) 451 Fighter Squadron attached to the Desert Air Force during 1943 at the El Daba base in Egypt.
A few Typhoons were sent to North Africa and integrated into an RAF squadron based in Egypt to verify the performance of new sand filters and for weapon trials under the harsh desert environment. EJ906 was one of these very few aircraft that did not carry the typical call letters painted on the fuselage sides due to security reasons.
