Yeah the did. The "Sandy" or Skyraiders would go in and draw fire to see where the guns were, then they would take out the guns, and only then would the Jolly Green come in. My uncle was pulled out of the jungle by a Jolly Green and a Sandy that was running low on fuel, but would not leave him until he knew that he was safe inside the Jolly. |
