They are nice planes. I have the "Butch" O'Hare version, which I picked up on sale. My recommendation is to wait until you can pick it up for under $60.00.
By far the best Carousel 1 planes are their FW 190 D's followed by the Bf 109 E's. The P-40's and Wildcats are neck-in-neck for third place.
I have not seen the Franklin Mint's Wildcat offerings (except for some not to helpful pictures/art work), which would be the most direct competitor. |
