I wonder if you could use a stock canopy (or a vacuformed copy) from a Hasegawa Flanker kit...It would seem a better alternative, don't ya think?

I originally thought about doing that but was worried that an accurate model kit canopy would not mate up well to the lateral contours of the Witty fuselage. Also, with an accurate canopy, you'd have to build up the fuselage, around the cockpit tub, to fill the void between the lower contour of the accurate canopy, and the incorrect contour of Witty's fuselgage.
