I just can't think of anything that tops the P-51D in this category.

The P51D is really cool and one of my favorites. The Fw190 D9 is also very attractive along with the Macchi 205 and Yak 3. Ultimately though, the Spitfire is a tough nut to crack. I particularly like the clipped wing Griffons, Mk XII and XIVs.
