I have that on video, "Bud" really chokes up telling that story. He is such a modest gentleman yet he is made of steel.
I think one thing that seems to be common among these pilots is that they all had a determination to do the job no matter what the odds or cost to themselves. They all had such a strong believe in what they were doing and the word failure didnt exist to them.
As to my favourite story, well I just cannot answer that one , there are so many. Let me think awhile.
