I finally coughed up the big bucks for the Prince Nieuport 11; it arrived via UPS today. What a beautiful little model! My wife didn't object so I don't have to blame ole' Capptain Eddie!

This model is packed with exquisite detail: full rigging, a beautifully detailed rotary engine, nice cockpit detail, windscreen, rubber rotating tires, nicely painted rockets, and how about that prop! Wow! From the hub to the tip of the blades, I have never seen a propellor so nicely done... the simulated wood look could fool anyone; it also spins nicely.

Carousel 1 really shines with fit and finish and this model is no exception. There are no glaring gaps or seams, the paint / graphics are equal to the standards of C1s Dora line; in sum, the finish detail is first rate, very professional. The craftsmanship at C1 is impressive, and this model is "proof in the pudding" that C1 puts a lot of TLC into its models.

I highly recommend the model, even at its current retail price. When a model exudes this level of craftsmanship, I don't mind paying "the big bucks" (but I won't be collecting the entire line either!) Now it is time to save my pennies for a Dr.1.
