Personally, I love the reduction in production numbers and like the idea of producing more liveries of a certain mold in much more limited quantities, too -- makes the hobby feel more like "collecting" rather than "buying" to me. If it means I miss out on a certain bird, such as the Century Wings 202 Tomcat that I let slide by... so be it. Yeah, it's frustrating but I might get it eventually on the after-market and the hunt is a great part of the fun for a hot model for me, too.

Then I guess that keeps me out of the ranks of "collectors" since I really couldn't care less about limited editions. Personally, I don't mind if everyone else happens to have the same stuff I do. I collect for the love of airplanes/tanks, not to invest or brag that I'm the only one on the county with this or that model. In fact, if "limited edition" means higher prices, then thanks but no thanks. Makes no difference if they retain/gain value later, as I'll likely never sell them.
