The first two sets of combined FOV products arrived in two of the shops which I frequent today.

First, the Tiger and eight soldiers + various bits and pieces ( which is illustrated earlier in this thread ) looks good in its cardboard box. The good news is that while the livery of the tank remains the same, the soldiers' weapons are not all bent out of shape, and more care seems to have been taken to paint them.

I can make exactly the same observations about the second set which features the Sherman and 7? soldiers. The soldiers seemed to be wearing a better paint job, and the weathering in the tank was more pronounced too.

The long, clear boxes seemed to be more akin to the 1.32 scale series boxes, and consequently these provide a better storage and stacking solution.

The older models in FOV's stable have all been repackaged to make the line more uniform. I noticed that the weathering in the repackaged older models appears slighly different from what I recall. Perhaps FOV have decided to take that popular marketing route and reinvent itself, though ever so slightly!

Note that these sets were slated for release in April. They have appeared early. This prompts me to speculate that we might see the Dragon Wagon come rolling along a bit earlier too, to say nothing of the Landing Craft and the Half-Track with the 105!

The big sets are on sale in the UK at about £18.00 while our American cousins can expect to pay $19.99!

Cheers,
