I'm guessing they mean 500 per paint scheme. 500 gray, 500 DAK tan, 500 whitewash, 500 3-tone normandy, 500 2-tone Kursk, etc. If it's a big seller, they can keep that going ad nauseum.

Of course, that's just a guess....
