Thumbs down Re: Today's Dragons in the U.K.

Tired and knackered after a trip to Edinburgh's " Wonderland ", model/hobby/railway/RC/diecast/toy soldier shop.

Did I get any of the targeted Dragons? Well, I did get one ( though not the one I was expecting ), and two which I thought would not have appeared yet!

Firstly : this Jagpanzer 1V L/70, Late Production, Hungary, 1945 was there. It had been around for a week or so, and I got one of the last two.
I'm quite glad that I found this one because it is listed in toybox100's site as being a " Limited Edition" issue. I don't know how limited, or how long it will be around, but Wonderland had about a dozen of them, and now has only one left!

The winter camo is very well done and creates a pleasing effect. I bet LegioLXXll will go for a few to flesh out his winter camo group!

BE WARNED! THERE IS A PRICE HIKE. THIS ONE CAME IN AT £12.99! ( 20% up! )

Then there is the Free French Army, Marseille, 1944 ( 60284 )
And very pretty too! Not so much of a hike in price at £10.99
The decals on this M4A4 Sherman are very nice, and the paint job and weathering are very subtle. A pleasing, workmanlike Sherman compared to the M4A3 ( 76 ) and the M4A1. I especially like the three-piece bolted front armour. The front hatches are quite faithful as well as the MG in the mantlet. Nice texture on the turret.

No sign of the POLISH M4A4, as yet!

Now the " MYSTERY " item. This is how this Hummel ( 60080 ) is listed on Dragon's USA site :

1/72 Sd. Kfz. 165 Hummel (Early Production), PzArtRgt 73, 1.Pz Div, Greece, Summer 1943 ~1st Hummel in our Armor Series!

1/72 Sd. Kfz. 165 Hummel (Early Production), PzArtRgt 73, 1.Pz Div, Greece, Summer 1943

However on my Hummel the box states :

" Pz.Art.Rgt.116, 5.Pz.Div. Eastern Front, 1944 " ( 60080 )

The Hummel which is in the box looks exactly like the one illustrated. Is there some confusion? Have Dragon USA gone and got it all mixed up?

Anyway, I was quite happy to see the Hummel. Another one for the growing collection of Dragon SPGs!

It is quite the same standard as the earlier releases, and I like the camo job too!

The return track sag in the illustration is not present on my Hummel!
Price :£12.99!

HAPPY HUNTING,

MoMo
