The problem is they did not send it by registered mail so the Post Office said they cant track it without that bar code. |
Iroquois - Sorry for ya, to hear what's happened.
As the lads have said, Paypal is your best option in future.
Reason I'm writing this post is to try & re-assure you that the Royal Mail
WILL forward those ordinary parcels
IF THEY'RE IN THE SYSTEM IN THE FIRST PLACE.
May be slow, BUT if they are genuinely in the system they'll turn up.
It's unlikely that any R.M. employee is gonna risk getting the sack over two toy a/c !!!! (amongst anything else they may be pilfering).
Believe me - R.M. staff are constantly under surveillance & monitered IF theft is going on - (I saw a young-black guy I worked with at beginning, being frogmarched away to the local police station a few months later, after nicking diamonds transiting to & from London's jewellery heartland - & other similar, but far lesser offences).
Royal Mail (parcels) DO take more priority in sending Premium-rate 24hr & 48hr items, as that's where the money lies & they have a fixed deadline to meet (& damaging compensation if they don't).
'Plain Jane' surface mail with no deadline, is last in line (peanuts revenue = peanuts service).
I spent 17 years working for Royal Mail U.K. (10 on letters & 7 on Parcels), so I've pretty-much seen it from all angles.
Did you at least ask the seller what ACTUAL date he posted your items & which branch used ???
There is a complaints service for R.M. but as you rightly said, no tracking code makes it the proverbial needle in a haystack.
It's possible it could go missing Stateside, equally as much as over here....?
Hope they turn up for ya.... better late, then never.
