As the crow flies, Saint Andrew's is 50 Kilometres from Edinburgh. I would advise you to take the train or bus to Edinburgh, and visit Wonderland. It is an experience!
They always have Dragon stock on the shelves at a good price ( for here! )
Dundee is nearer to St A.s of course, but it isn't nearly as nice.
From Waverley Train Station in Edinburgh, it's a 20 minute walk to Lothian Road where Wonderland is situated. On that walk you will pass through Prince's Gardens, or walk along Prince's Street, and walk under Edinburgh Castle...a spectacular sight!
Much more of an adventure than going to Dundee, which has its charms, though mostly in pubs!
