| I am ahuge B-17 fan, and i need to vent. In my opinion the Corgi actually is not that good. I have three of them. All of them have main landing gear struts that are way to tall. There are no waist guns in most of them, and the chin turret is wrong. The things that I do like are the vast array of paintschemes to choose from, the fact that they took the time to put the right tail stingers on each aircraft, and the scale of the model.
As for the Franklin Mint B-17's. I think that there is a lot of good things in them such as the over all heft of the model. The turrets look right. The G models are pretty accurate, the put the G model waist window in the F versions, but when the F models windows were closed it looke like a G model window. I think that the Franklin Mint should put out a few different paint schemes in the B-17.
