I like Barrett Tillman's books on WWII navy planes. I've read the ones on the SBD Dauntless, Wildcat, and Hellcat. He also has one on the corsair, which I'll have to get.
I also liked "The Jolly Rogers" by Tom Blackburn and Eric Hammel.
Samurai by Saburo Sakai is also a great book, and a enlightening break from the US perspective.
