Re: 1/18 walker bulldog..

They were first produced in 1951 and saw service in Korea and Vietnam. Here's a little bit about this light tank, which was designed to replace the Chaffee, the US late WW2 tank that itself replaced the Stuart.

M41 Walker Bulldog

As it fought in Korea, there should be some winter camo shots of it somewhere.

Re: 1/18 walker bulldog..

Is the figure (comes with it) right for the tank?

Re: 1/18 walker bulldog..

It would be helpful to see a picture of the figure.

Also keep in mind you are looking at a span of 30 or so years that this tank was in service.

Re: 1/18 walker bulldog..

It did not fight in Korea. Only a handful were sent there for field testing, and they arrived only a few months before the truce, and never saw combat. I researched this a great deal when the model was first released.

The US did not use this tank in Vietnam, either, but it was used there by the South Vietnamese.

This tank was never used in combat by the US.

Yes it was........The American side used them against the Germans who were using the (lend/lease/captured?) M48 Patton (ironic) in Patton. George C. Scott commanded a bunch of them!
