This is a big surprise:

Humm..A 1:32 Hellcat first i heard of it....Looks like they will be doing more in that scale i guess... the 1:18 area seems to have lost steam at the moment.

Motorpool.com said they asked their distributor about BBI's upcoming 1/32 USAF Vietnam F-104 and the 1/32 Dauntless repaint. The distributor said they didn't know anything about them.

Themotorpool.com now says there is no new 1/32 F6F Vraciu---they were given some incorrect information.

I just ordered a BBI 1/18 F6F Cat Mouth 2 days ago. I hope I like it as well as you do. I put off ordering it for a long time because of the many complaints about the folding wings---but I needed the F6F to complete my top WW II fighters.

Also, Motorpool.com said the sales rep gave them the wrong info because they confused the new BBI Wildcat with the Hellcat.

Yea the 1:32 Wildcat came to mind too when i read that post of your this morning...As for the Hellcat in 1:18 the folding wings are no biggie for me because i don't fold them.
I came so close of getting that Cat mouth Hellcat too...

I won't fold the wings either...I was worried by owner complaints that the wings flopped when in the extended, flying position.

After customizing A LOT of BBI Hellcats, the trick is to drop the gear 1/2 way down and then firmly lock the white wing peg in place. No droop in flying position and to fold the wings, drop the gear again 1/2 way down, slide the wing out 1/4 inch, fold'em up nice and neat.

Thanks for the info. I'm looking forward to the Cat Mouth.
I already have a BBI F4U Daisy June and and it's in the flying position----wings extended and landing gear up. I've never folded the wings on it.
