1/32 Corsair

I am not impressed. I needed to glue the wing, as the screw provided could hold the wing in. The lg doors will require modification if I don't want them to fall off every time I pick them up. The wings are nice only if you don't mind permanently displaying it in "wings folded" mode.

I was going to collect more of these, but I am so disappointed by this offering that I will probably give it up. Anyone have any words of encouragement/discouragement?

Re: 1/32 Corsair

It sounds like you got a bad corsair.
I didn't have any problems with mine.
I did re-do the gear doors to make it look more like the corsair by trimming the corners a little. But mine don't fall off.
Mine was also a tight fit for the wings very sturdy too.
This is their first 1/32 Corsair so there might be a few minor things that a modeler couldn't fix.
But mine was perfect.

Re: 1/32 Corsair

Starman helped me get mine, and I had no problems with it. It made an awsome addition to the collection.

Re: 1/32 Corsair

I would love to get a Marine's Dream in 1/48th or 1/32nd scale.

Re: 1/32 Corsair

Well Harry....the last time when talked about the Corsair & Stuka was in Oct 2006 this morning they have 3 Big Hogs Corsairs and 7 snake Stukas on the shelfs.
This is the first time they have had these schemes in stock since Oct.
I picked up a Big Hog this time too.
The snake Stuka looks nice but i thought the snake had red spots on it not tan like 21st made theirs.

I still haven't seen ANY Corsairs or Stukas here, but I have a friend in California that picked up the Big Hog and Snake planes for me.. The "updated" snake scheme comes from recently discovered photos that show the spots were NOT painted...
