Your Favorite 1/18th P-51D

Hey guy's I have a question for all of you. If you had a favorite 1/18th P-51D that is currently made which one would it be? If you had only one to choose to keep which one would it be?

For me thats very hard because I have 2 favorites and they are 21st's Old Crow and Big Beautiful Doll. Now if I had only one I could keep it would be Big Beautiful Doll. Why? Because she is one colorful Mustang as all 78th FG Mustangs were and to me it respresents all Mustangs.

What is your choice guys? This is just for fun.

Steve

BBD for me! She sits on top of my computer desk at home. I love the checkered nose.

I'm with kingpin, great paint scheme, great history and the kills are pretty impressive also. I have the 21st Century model.

Re: Your Favorite 1/18th P-51D

Well, just for looks alone the 21st CT BBD gets the prize, but BBI's P-51D IS seriously my favorite over the 21st rendition. I have the first issue: "Killer" with winged ACE of Spades noseart which is also a good looking scheme to boot!

Re: Your Favorite 1/18th P-51D

Hey guys I just got my BBD P-51D from Bad Cat and it has now moved to the top of my all time favorite list. First it came in the collectors edition box which I think was a nice touch by 21st and the paint scheme was flawless and I mean flawless. This is probably the first time since Marines Dream that I have ever seen a perfect paint job on a 1/18th airplane and I have plenty of them from both BBI and 21st. There was no over spray on the checker patterns and there were no scratches nothing. I wonder if 21st put a little more effort into the BBD's that came in the Collectors Edition boxes then their standard release of this very same plane? I dont know but 21st delievered this time around with "the Doll" as I now call it. All its missing? Its missing an engine and removable gun bays otherwise it would be my all time favorite 1/18th plane which Marines Dream still holds that top honor. That is until the 1/18th SBD comes out from Admiral. Thats IF it ever comes out but thats another story for another day.

But excellent job by 21st.
