BBI 1/18 F6F Hellcat question?

I'm thinking of buying the BBI 1/18 F6F Hellcat "Catmouth", but I've read about its folding wing/landing gear problems. I already have the BBI F4U Corsair "Daisy June" and I have the Corsair in the flying mode (wings extended and landing gear up), so there are no Corsair problems with folding wings/landing gear.

If I also have the BBI Hellcat in flying mode, would I encounter any problems during assembly or display?

STEVE1971:

Based on reviews and posts, it appears that it's 50/50 as far as the CatMouth and Vraciu Hellcats having wing and quality control problems. That's too bad because the BBI F6F is an otherwise great model. I'm still thinking about getting a Catmouth.

Re: BBI 1/18 F6F Hellcat question?

I have had no problems either with mine ....Yet.
I always think the older these get the weaker their wings may get and start snagging a little.
My very first Gray TBF in 1:18 was starting to snag a little so i put her on the shelf with her wings folded now...
