Re: The next paint scheme for Fw190A8!!

If they only looked that great in person. Every single 1/32 plane I look up at Wal Mart: a) does not look as good as the picture (expected for $14.97), b) has some sort of blemish (glue droplet, overspray, blemish in paint) or has been damaged beyond repair. I have picked up many a plane with the intent to purchase and have put it back down due to one (or all) of the three. Also, most stores near me only have 1 or 2 copies of a plane so there is not much to choose from.

Am I just too picky or unlucky?

If you are too picky, then I must be too -- I've had the same experience. Based on the pics I go out and hunt one of these down and then I can't bring myself to buy it for the reasons you mention. And I've only seen 'em for $20+... This one makes me want to try again...

I like it. Subdued yet still striking.

Re: The next paint scheme for Fw190A8!!

I like to think I am pretty picky about my planes, but I usually have a choice when picking these up so I get the best one I can..

So do I. One time I came in during my lunchbreak, the guy was unpacking a crate of 21st Century products. Long story short, I was able to cherry-pick the best
looking plane of the bunch...this doesn't happen very often so I seized the opportunity!
