Re: The next paint scheme for Fw190A8!!

So do I. One time I came in during my lunchbreak, the guy was unpacking a crate of 21st Century products. Long story short, I was able to cherry-pick the best
looking plane of the bunch...this doesn't happen very often so I seized the opportunity!

That's always the best situation to be in, and one thing I always keep in mind is that these are ONLY $15, so I am a little more lenient when nit-picking them...

Cool Re: The next paint scheme for Fw190A8!!

Three days ago I picked up the following 21 Century releases: P-51B/C "Bald Eagle" and Bf-109F-2 VII/JG54, and left the only remaining model, a P-47D "Tarheel Hal" on the shelf. Today I returned and bought the P-47D. I'm strictly a price.v. value type, and at $14.96 a pop all three are a very good value. The P-51 is, IMO, the best in terms of fit and finish of the three. The Bf-109F-2 comes in second, but only because I had some difficulty seating the wing, and there is a small gap at the wing roots. The P-47D, because the damn thing is huge and the wings and stabelizers are attached seperatly, suffers from wing root gapitest on the underside of the plane. I thought I spotted some smearing on the rudder fairing, but it turned out to be some scotch tape, of all things. Otherwise, the model looks fine, even with that wild-assed paint job. Believe it or not, after reading some of the earlier postings, I grabed my magnifying glass and went looking for glue blobs, and poorly applied and smeared paint jobs. Zip-zero-zed. As i said, price v. value, and these three are now prominently displayed on top of the entertainment center. Alas, due to their size they're most likely to be my only 21 Century issues.

That is the way to do it...I have been lucky so far at finding good planes too.
By the way i saw their new P-51D mold there and it was good ....i just didn't care to much for that scheme..
But i still think the P-51B is a little better and these Fw190A's are sweet too.

Looks great and I built this one in 1/72 and is hanging from the ceiling in my den (along with another 146 1/72 scales ). This 21st Century one needs a tail swazi and looks like it is all set. Doubt though they will do that, you know...part of the PC crowd.

Nice work wmosner. I really like the newest 21C AC; they are rather addictive! I have picked up all of the B/C model mustangs and think I will buy each and every paint scheme of the butcher bird they release.
