| Re: BBI F-16 "Wolfpack", P-51 "Donald Duck" I have the F-16 "Wolfpack." Overall shape is accurate (except engine exhaust nozzle, see below), and finish/paint is fine by my standards, considering the relatively low price for a model that size. Negatives are: landing gear not very exact in shape (to accomodate the fact that is is fully retractable. This is not a factor if you will display "in flight" with gear up), it comes with Sparrow missiles instead of AIM-120 AMRAAMs (AIM-7s are not accurate for this kind of F-16, a block-30 C model), engine exhaust nozzle seems to be kind of a cross between that of the PW engine and GE engine (GE engine would be accurate), Sidewinder missiles forward fins are inaccurate, and the missiles themselves tend to be slightly bent (at least on my model), cockpit detail is very sparse for that scale (and while there is a side stick, there is no throttle), and the ejection seat is not reclined enough compared to real thing. I'm writing this from memory, as I keep this model at work and I'm at home right now. I'll take a more specific look tomorrow and report again. Overall, I'm happy I have an F-16 in that scale, but I was disappointed with some of the flaws listed above. It's more of a toy than anything else. However, my co-workers at work are suitably impressed, even current F-16 drivers, so there you go... FVD | |||||||||||||

FPORMERVIPERDRIVER: Thanks very much. That's a very good review. I've seen a few brief reviews on the Wolf Pack and I had the impression is was near-perfection. If you have additional review info, I'd appreciate it. Also, one of the etailers identified the missiles as AIM-120 AMRAAM "Slammer". | |||||||||||||
