Re: New Tool 1/32 P-51D!!!

Both the RAF & PTO bird look great.
I hope they really have improved the mold & the actual product looks as good as it does in those photos.
I have found most of their old 1/32 line to have very poor fit & finish.

Yes the Fuselage roundel is the correct blue.. There was a pic of the undercart, but it is the same as on the "B/C" so I didn't post it..

Mrs Bonnie looks very pretty! I like the color scheme and if I see it I will have to get it. Very nice.

Wait a minute - this is a completely new tooling from the previous one? I have "Lou IV". What is different?

Re: New Tool 1/32 P-51D!!!

So then the picture that's on the front of the box is a photo of the actual model?....They now have the landing gear figured out?

Re: New Tool 1/32 P-51D!!!

I have not seen this one yet. It would be a great model if the gear is correct.

Re: New Tool 1/32 P-51D!!!

Three questions for anyone who has bought the new !/32 P-51:

1. Does it have weathering?
2. Does the pilot come with an oxygen mask? (I don't see one)
3. I don't see a slot behind the canopy so it can it slide like on the 1/18 P-51s. Does the 1/32 canopy slide ok?

4. Does BBI's 1/18 Donald Duck have the canopy slot?

Re: New Tool 1/32 P-51D!!!

I'm a bit suspicious about not being able to see the landing gear. Is this like one of those real estate photos where they position the shot so that the pine tree conveniently blocks out the cooling tower from the nuclear power plant next door?

If they've corrected it I would think they'd want to show it off..
