Yeah, what flyXwire said^^^^ and now maybe I'll get my dream-scheme dark green (IJA green) overall with red hinomaru on white bands.

And then, the Nick...

So far, I've stayed away from this line, however the Tony in 1:48 may cause me to rethink my position.

Re: New 1/48- Tony and Hellcat!!!

Yes, this is a line to watch closely, but I do wish they had chosen a subject not already done before in that scale. I already have a Marushin Tony and 2 FM/A Hellcats (and that's one of their better models).

Would have prefered something like... a P-39 or Typhoon.

And I'm curious to see if the actual models in the stores will really look as good as those pictures. But at the prices these go for, I'll have to get them anyway.

Yeah, for me that's the top-of-the-list missing subject in WW II fighters, 1/48 scale. Would prefer diecast, but I'd take one in plastic if done reasonably well.

Re: New 1/48- Tony and Hellcat!!!

Can anyone provide any info on the quality of 21st Century products? I see that they are inexpensive but how will it compare parked next to my 1/48 Marushin and Hobby Master?

I have 2 Me-109G in 48th from 21stCT, and before I purchased those I had to wade through about 4 of these on the shelf before I could find an acceptable (and almost flawless) piece. As I mentioned from the other thread about the QC issues found on 21st products, it's really 'hit-n-miss' with their products, that's why I would never buy these online. Now, if you park it next to the other 1/48s, they look great from a viewing distance only.
