Tampered or error packaging

The Stuka Macchi 2-packs are finally showing up around here. Most have been correct but saw 3 at 2 different WM an hour apart that have the Mutherlich Bf 109 in place of the Stuka. Are packaging errors common or do you think they have been tampered with?

Re: Tampered or error packaging

That's been tampered with, no doubt! This sort of thing has been happening for a long time all across the stores I've been too, and not just 21st Century products that
are being 'switched' with items and then returned for exchanged or refund. The most sophisticated tampering I've seen so far are the diecast cars like Hotwheels etc.,
in which an inferior diecast product was substituted and placed inside the plastic blistered cardback without destroying it! The 21st Century packaging are easily
tampered with since it's sideflaps are shut with clear tape only. A determined thief can easily pull a "switcheroo" in the parking lot in less 5 seconds and he's outta
there and on to another store to do more damage.

Re: Tampered or error packaging

You are probably right about the tampering. Just seemed wierd that there were 3 in 2 different stores. I guess the Stuka was in high demand

Re: Tampered or error packaging

If there were that many and they were all the same 109s, maybe it was a packaging error???

Re: Tampered or error packaging

This happens a lot throughout the toy collector world, from 21st Century to Hot Wheels and Cars and back. Makes me mad.
