1:18 Bud Anderson P-51D Mustang "Old Crow" Silver bird PICTURES

I just got the 21st Century Toys latest 1:18 P-51D Mustang of Bud Anderson's
silver Old Crow..This is one fine looking fighter plane put out by 21st Toys.
I have the BBI OD Old Crow as well...But this one is now my favorite Mustang of
the bunch i have in 1:18.
They did a great job with this fighter plane. If you collect the 1:18's this is a must have in your collection.
They also did not put on the swazis kill marks on this..They just left it white which is ok because i do have these decals to along with the extra Old Crow decal i had for my BBI.
For some reason BBI and 21st did not put the Old Crow nose art on the right side cowl.
The prop is a lot better on this one then my Petie 2nd made by 21st.
Here are the pics.

Re: 1:18 Bud Anderson P-51D Mustang "Old Crow" Silver bird

How does the detail(s) on the 21st P-51 compare to the BBI "As real as it gets" Mustang? I understand that the Series II P-51s from 21st were
re-tooled to look more accurate and blow away the BBI rendition. So is this true? Thanks.

Wal*Mart is probably you're best bet, but there's plenty on-line dealers that stock those too.

They haven't shown up in Walmarts yet, but it is a good bet that they will eventually.. And on the plus side, 21st is now offering to produce a decal for the "OLD CROW" on the starboard side that is missing..

Re: 1:18 Bud Anderson P-51D Mustang "Old Crow" Silver bird

Question from a small scale guy, how do the two 1:18 brands compare, BBI and 21st? Any big differences in mold quality, detail, etc.?

When I checked out TFM site I saw that the landing gear on OC still looked spastic, but BBD's looked awesome...

They are not using a 21st Century BBD in that picture either...The BBD looks the same as the OC,Tuskegee,Petie2nd and others.....I wish the gears looked that good.

That totally sucks then!!...I'd be plenty p.o.'d if I ordered BBD based on TFM's pic and received the above....Who's are they using for the photo?..That's the one I want..
