These never really made it to my area Walmarts....and they aren't online anywhere either. For the price, it seems like you can't go wrong. It's probably better though they didn't, all I need is another scale! I'm already backlogged on purchases for 1/72nd!

Yea, I swore nothing but 1:72 and look at me now...starting threads on 1:48.

I just saw on a site they have the PTO mustang and a 109 1/48th in stock...so i guess they are hitting the online retailers.

The low price, and apparently good value, will make quite few 1/72 collectors want to try this new scale; and once they do, I think a lot will be hooked. IMHO, 1/48 is FAR superior to 1/72 for WW II fighters. The "presence" once on display is so much greater. Yes, they take up more space, but it's well worth it.

I do own WW II fighters in both scales, if you are wondering (but far more in 1/48 for the reason indicated).
