The low price, and apparently good value, will make quite few 1/72 collectors want to try this new scale; and once they do, I think a lot will be hooked. IMHO, 1/48 is FAR superior to 1/72 for WW II fighters. The "presence" once on display is so much greater. Yes, they take up more space, but it's well worth it.

I do own WW II fighters in both scales, if you are wondering (but far more in 1/48 for the reason indicated).

I have the P-51C from 311th FG in China. Lt. Lester Arasmith. It goes nicely with The Bee of Beeson. I got mine from the Mule. The first I got from Wal-Mart. I figured the gas and the hassle of looking--and it was cheaper online.
