21st Century makes 3 different versions in 1/18..
Most are long gone, but you can still find them thru private individuals and Ebay..

Hi Guys,
I can imagine how nice the Spitfire would be. I started collecting too late to catch that one! The spitfire in any scale is a good addition to a collection. I was lucky to get my Air America UH-1A. Though it is still around.

Glad you've shared that chesnut of info', hworth !!!

Now I'll think twice before putting it outside as a weather-vane (which was why I'd bought it in the first place !!!).

I was impressed how nice it is, & how accurate the markings are.

Mine's a Mk 1, which wear's the markings =- NK*K 'Borough of Lambeth' in an archtypical Battle of Britain August 1940 scheme & markings style.

Wish I had a digital camera to show you just how good it is.

Like you'd suggested, I'd bought mine from E-bay, late last summer.

Just out of curiousity, what are the other 2 schemes/markings/versions ????

The two "other" schemes were a D-day Naval Spotter (same scheme as Corgi's version, but different model of Spit) and the other is ZP*A
All 3 are somewhat rare, but can still be had at a reasonable prices..
Hope this helps..

I bought the same version, they did'nt quite middle the red dot on one of the fuselage roundrels & the pilot's door likes to fall off...still I like it very much

Thanks for the info', hworth.

Kinda sad, that I've never seen the other two, & that I'm never likely to.

ZP*A was flown by one of my all-time favourite heroes........

A.G. ('Sailor') MALAN, of 74 Sqdn, (ZP*A being his personal a/c).

He lived, flew & fought from my 'namesake'.........

(Hornchurch), ZP*A & 74 Sqdn''s Home-Base.

They named a large street after him in the Town.

Sadly, he died of Parkinson's disease (or similar), well before old-age.
