Cars parked in direct sunlight can reach internal temperatures up to 131F - 172 F(55C - 78C) when the outside temperatures are 80F - 100F (27C - 38C).

Even an unventilated garage is not going to reach 131...

Oh yeah. We've had a record breaking number of days this year over 100. The 90s feel temperate after all the century-mark temps.

Its funny. I have had my Ridge Runner 3, HHH and my Marines Dream sitting in the sun for long intervals and they havent warped or anything like that. Maybe its the smaller planes that do that as evidenced by what happened to you.

Thanks for the sympathy, guys. It really is no big deal, as both were cheap and easy to replace. I learned an important lesson about 1/144 plastic planes that has made me more cautious about how I store my larger scale planes.
