Many thanks! You've obviously done considerable research! I'll try and keep all of this in mind! - John

No problem John. Not alot of research, but I do have one of each aircraft type in 1/18 and most 1/18 ground vehicles. Like I and a couple others have said, they kinda just hook you once you've seen them up close. I've thought about stopping but each new release gets better.....what are ya' gonna do?!?

BTW, if you're thinking of getting some 1/18 aircraft, then now's a good time. TFM is having a sale on some of their 21st Century XD for $39.99. All of the XD aircraft they have on sale are really pretty nice (F-104 Starfighter, F-86 Saber, Mig-15 bis, P-47 Thunderbolt (Eileen) and BF-109G. Take a look!

This is not the news i wanted to hear...I'm being told by a buddy of mine who has been watching the F4 Phantom close and now these 1/18 birds might not make it out after all...He also told me to check out Bad Cats blog and
it has some info on there....

No it is not good news.
I read it,
but I think we need to wait to here the news from 21st and AT first before we jump the gun...However I still have this sinking feeling in my gut that what they will tell us is not going to be good.

Could someone post a link to that Bad Cat blog? I'd like to dash my hope for the model in it!!!!
Thanks Alph

Thank You StarMan for the link! Guess we'll have to wait on the F-4 which will give guys time to save some money toward one of these models. Not a surprise considering it's preposed size.

Re: 1/18th scale jet fighters & attack planes - what company is best?

I believe someone or some folks from the Small Scale HQ forum started a 'hunger-strike' campagne a few years ago to have an A-10 made in 1:18th? Whatever happened to all that bruhaha?

I heard it died off. The response was too thin....

Then why are the posts regarding the Phantom sounding so pessimistic?

Tophat Don’t take Bat’s cat’s opinion to heart it just that that his opinion, Also AT SBD will be made but since they had to move to a new factory, they where put behind schedule. As for 21st is concerned I don’t know, I bet they will make one as well….as for Bad cat…I think they are just speculating …my speculation is that the F-4 and the MiG-21 will come out next year. Remember 21st just has finished up on the Me-262 and it should be shipped out at any time now…that will open up room for some new manufacturing space…I guess. They also said no B-17 or A-10...we will see...some day.

Re: 1/18th scale jet fighters & attack planes - what company is best?

Hey guys. As for the A-10 I dont think we will ever see one but I also once said that about the F6F. So I could be wrong. As for what company to go with as far as jets are concerned? I would have to say go with BBI. As far as detail goes they rule the roost in my book and their Mustangs, Corsairs, and Zero's are proof of that. I have only heard positive stuff being said about their jets so I would go with them.
