Well said and well done. I am currently reading Tail-End Charlies: The Last Battles of the Bomber War, 1944-45 by John Nichol and Tony Rennell which touches upon mainy of the things you discuss. I recommend it to anyone with an interest in the relationship and contrasts between Bomber Command and the 8th US Airforce. A very good read.
