When I was building kits it was in 1/35. There were some artillery but not much. The old 88 kit by Tamiya and a pak 40, and an old 105 by Italeri comes to mind. Anything else and you'd have to get resin kits that are grossly expensive. But maybe things have gotten better since I was building....I've been away from the kits for some time now.

Yes, you can get excellent 1:72 guns in resin for $10-$20 depending on what they are (plastic too), but lots of fiddly pieces and you still have to build and paint them. There are also alot of wargaming guns you can get in 1:72 but they lack what some of the model kits have in detail and crispness. A diecast prebuilt and prepainted range of guns is a great idea because they're ready to go straight from the package.
