| Re: My 1/48 Marushin/pacific collection I really do like the 21st Tonys as they are cheap but well made and very detailed. I was really surprised at the level of detail in the cockpit of the Hellcat as it looks like a well built model with painted instrument panel/gauges. The only drawback to the Hellcat, and I didn't notice it until I assembled the second one, is that 21st put the down gear doors on backwards and they are so firmly attached, I would break the gear strut trying to get it apart, but it isn't that noticeable, especially for less than $15.
The Camo Tony came and went in my area so fast that I was going to buy extras and they were gone. The Green Tonys (2) came from a member of another board and I like them just as much as the Camo one. I assembled one Green Tony and am keeping the other one for future repaints. The only thing I did to the Green Tony was paint the drop tanks Japanese orange/yellow. |
