New York, New York | | | | Easy Model Wish Lists, Anyone? As many of us know, MRC's Easy Model line will be giving us interesting WW II warbirds like the rarely- or never-done HE-162, Buffalo,Tempest V, LA-7 and Dewoitine D. 520 in the near future along with equally interesting post WW II planes such as the F-84, Mig-15 and Bearcat. And, of course, they are also planning to send us a lot of planes that already crowd our diecast shelves in fairly large numbers from a variety of manufacturers.
Which raises this question. Assuming that MRC's retail prices for 1:72nd scale fighters or attack planes such as the Stuka held at about $10-12 and they wanted to charge $25 per model for two or three-engined planes, what would you like to see them do next? Here are a few options to consider:
1) Continue with more WW II single-engine types like the MC-202, Lagg-3, I-153, I-16, P-36, Firefly, Tony, Oscar, Frank, TA-152, Val, Kate, IL-2M, Fiat CR-42, Fokker D XXI, etc
2) Go into the midsize WW II range with the ME-410, DO-17Z, Hudson, PE-2, Betty, SM-79, P-61, Nick, etc
30 Greatly expand their line of jet fighters and bombers, including planes like the Mig-17, Mig-21, Mig-23, F-105, F-106, Panther, the Meteor, Hawker Hunter, SAAB 29, SAAB Draken, Mirage F.1 and even larger planes such as the Vautour, IL-28 or the B-58. |
