If I have to pay $2 more per gallon, I'd rather pay it to the oil companies than to the clowns in Washington, D.C.
Better yet make all the states that have oil and refuse to initiate and increase production and/or refining pay the states that are. If they want the benefit, they should not get a free ride.
Prices will moderate only when U.S. supply (in large part due to more production and more refining) more closely matches demand (hopefully somewhat affected by conservation and significant--not just "feel good" alternative energy sources). |
