| Re: Lets Blame Ethanol Oregon mandated that 10% of ALL gas sold must contain 10% Ethanol. Nobody stopped to see if it worked in all engines. It doesn't work in two-strokes, chain saws, outboard motors and light aircraft engines. There was a rapid and loud yell from all those affected so the State is having to ammend its new laws.Another problem is that in automobile engines, it significantly reduces the mpg, so you burn more fuel to go the same distance, thus increasing the dependence on gasoline. It also costs more to produce. |
