| I knew those shiny Corgi P-51s were good for something.
From what I heard, the type of corn they grow to make ethanol is different than the type they grow to eat. But the land they use to grow ethanol corn is not being used to grow food. So less food, higher food prices. |
Boy, where do I start here?
Your correct about the type of corn is not the corn that humans eat. The corn that is used is the type used for feeding livestock.
Its not true that farmers are growing ethanol corn and not growing food.
The reason food is higher is because of the high oil prices making for higher transportation costs. Everything in the grocery store is shipped by truck. This extra cost in fuel is passed on to the consumer.
