I will be stocking the Easy Model ships when they come out and I would expect to see them at many of the regular Easy Model dealers. I have no news of exactly when they will be released though. Their catalog lists the following ships:
- USS Ticonderoga (Ticonderoga class with missile launchers)
- USS Vincennes (as above but with Harpoon canisters aft)
- USS Princeton (Tico class with VLS system)
- USS Spruance (lead Spruance class destroyer)
- USS Arthur W Radford (Spruance with experimental main mast)
- USS Kidd (Kidd class missile destroyer)
- USS Chandler (another Kidd class ship)
These are based on kits by Hobby Boss. I was able to stock some of those which give you a good idea of what the finished products will look like. The models are pretty good. Some features such as lattice masts are rendered as solid instead of accurately reproduced as you see in the German made models. Of course the Easy Models will be like 1/3rd the price. They also will likely be full hull models, not waterlines though I believe you will be able to turn them into waterlines with a steady hand and an exacto type knife. Much will depend on the paintwork on the models. I expect many of my regular customers will end buying them and doing their own upgrades to them.
They also have an extensive 1/700 submarine range. Those are excellent models for the price.
