| MG34s absolutely.
I think the anti-tank gun is a Swiss 20mm Solothurn... Could anybody confirm ? | planenutsfrog - Could very well be a Solothurn - hard to tell - it could also be a German 20mm (Lahti round - the so-called "20mm long") anti-aircraft Oerlikon cannon - they used one in the movie "Thunderbolt & Lightfoot" several years ago with Clint Eastwood, George Kennedy, & Jeff Bridges; it was used to blow open an armory vault. I've fired both the Solothurn as well as the Finnish Lahti - I like the Solothurn much better (softer recoil), but the Lahti is much more plentiful - they were selling for $99.00 when first introduced into this country way back in the mid to late '50's, I believe - I used to see ads for these in gun magazines. Thanks to the dastardly "GCA '68", those are no more - except for the few that are already here. - JY |
