If the tooling is still good, why bail on the model? You could just keep releasing various schemes or doing special commissions at a rate of 1-2 a year. The F-104 has too many great possibilites to abandon. I am still waiting for an operational Italian AF release...
I think that the poor performance of some of the special schemes (based on my personal observations) may have something to do HM stopping F-104 releases. The F-104 is like the MiG-21 and F-4, you could go on forever - just like the real aircraft! |
